The Women of 50Megs

Hi, welcome to my page. This site is filled with many different things pertaining to tennis and many of today's tennis players. I am currently working on a player photo gallery which is going a little slower than I would like but I'll get it together pretty soon. You can also find player biographies that contain lots of information about the player and his/her career. Some player biographies already have photos but many do not as of yet but I'm constantly working on obtaining new pics so the biographies without photos should become fewer and fewer. There are links to many other tennis player sites too. Like everything else that list is pretty small now but it's steadily growing and will hopefully contain links to almost every ATP and WTA player. This site is almost constantly changing so if you think this is a site that might interest you please check back often because I'm new to web page designing and as I discover new tricks I'll be trying different things for you to see. One suggestion-check out the "Women of 50Megs" page. Okay, two suggestions-I've got a message board so if you want to post anything about tennis, or anything for that matter just click on my message board link and post away. Well, until I see you again, I hope you enjoy my site!

Can Venus Win In New York?

Venus Williams has been the hottest player on the women's tour ever since she came back from her injury. Winning 4 tournaments in a row, she's hoping to carry over that momentum to Flushing Meadows and win her second Grand Slam in a row. While many believe Venus is the favorite this year, I disagree. I think she's got a very good chance of winning but I don't think she'll be able to keep the level of her game that high for two more weeks. I believe that it's gonna come down to Lindsay, Martina and Venus. Whoever wins this years U.S. Open, is going to be the one who has the freshest legs at the end of the fortnight.

Agassi Pulls One Out

Andre Agassi once again proved Thursday why he is the number one player in the world with a five set slug fest with former number one Pete Sampras. Agassi started off well, taking the first set but then faltered, dropping the next two sets. All seemed lost at the start of the fourth set after losing a tie breaker 0-7 but Andre managed to claw his way to another tie breaker. After squeaking through, winning the fourth set, Agassi turned up the heat early in the fifth set. Winning his serve and breaking Sampras, Agassi quickly went up 2-0. Sampras managed to steal the third game but could not manage anything else against the more focused than ever Agassi. When the two greatest players of the last decade finally left the court, Sampras left still one Grand Slam short of the record and Agassi left waiting to find out who he plays next. The final score was 6-4, 3-6, 6-7(0-7), 7-6(7-5), 6-1.
